Five Years of Writing Here

The photo of me above captures a lot of light bouncing around and reflecting my image into my work in the case below. That’s pretty much what this blog has been like, a sort of reflection of my life and work, incomplete and selective. It’s astonishing to me that I’ve been blogging five years now. My first post on September 29 in 2008 seems that of a wistful introvert, and now I have made new friends and connections in the world.

I’ve posted nearly 200 times over the last five years, and received nearly 1000 comments. It’s kept the writing muscle exercised and let me share some of my photography and art techniques with you.

I am still working on a post about the new book work which I am so pleased about, as can be seen in the above picture at the current Superstitions 13 exhibit at the San Francisco Center for the Book. In the meantime, here is an interview with me at the Eternal Haunted Summer website about my work, process and journey. Rebecca Buchanan, the editor there, asks very good questions and I enjoyed pulling the answers out of myself and especially looking at the work of the last ten years.

Welcome to all the new subscribers, via email or RSS feed. I love to read your comments – I learn from you all and enjoy the insights that emerge. Thank you for reading!

Thanks for posting for these five years, Cari, and for sharing your soul with the rest of us, right here and now and for future readers.
