May Day

May Day Journal Page 2009

Beltane, Beltane, ribbons and love, blue skies and flowers, the lusty month of May! A page from one of my journals.

May Day Ribbons Dancing

The bright ribbons dance ouside my kitchen door, stirred by the breezes of the coming warmth.

May Day Lord and Lady

The Lord and the Lady at May Day, the time of the Sacred Marriage to make the land fecund for seed. Beltane is the first day of summer in the old Celtic calendar and the cross quarter day opposite Halloween or Samhain on the Wheel of the Year. What do you want to harvest by then? What seeds will you plant now to swell and grow and ripen with the summer?
